Château Cheval Blanc 2012
Cheval Blanc is regarded as the finest producer in Saint-Emilion, boasting the highest qualification; Premier Grand Cru Classé (A). It’s vineyards are clustered in between Graves, Saint-Emilion and Pomerol giving a wide range of soil types. Featuring fine balance and a beautiful tannic texture, the 2012 vintage associates qualities that are particularly appreciated by the château winemaking team: freshness, unctuousness, exuberant and satisfying fruitiness, and elegant complexity.
Château Margaux 2003
Since the 17th Century, the first wine of Château Margaux has been recognised as being one of the greatest wines in the entire world. It owes its unique qualities to the genius of its terroir as well as to the passionate work of a succession of generations. It’s a remarkable wine that comes from a combination of characteristics that are only rarely found: finesse, elegance, complexity, density, intensity, length and freshness. Although its tannic concentration may be exceptional, it’s rare to detect astringency. Jumping out of the glass, are red berry fruit aromas, freshness and purity. A mingling of floral and slightly spicy notes, coming through delightfully in this very complex cocktail, in which the new oak has already been totally integrated.
Château Latour 2003
Without question Chateau Latour is one of the best and most famous Bordeaux wines. It boasts the highest qualification possible; Premier Grand Cru Classé. It’s Grand Vin is made solely from the very old vineyards located in their 46 ha Enclos. This is arguably the very best place in the world for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon making Chateau Latour one of the most sought after wines in the world. The best Bordeaux wine of the vintage, Latour’s 2003 boasts a dense purple colour as well as a classic nose of ink, black currants, sweet cherries, crushed rocks, and minerals.
Château Montrose 2009
The summer of 2009 was very hot and dry, which got the harvest off to a reasonably early start. The blend was 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Jean Bernard Delmas' goal was to find perfect equilibrium between freshness and concentration, given its incredible opulence and the voluptuous character this vintage offered. That's what this wine has in abundance. With an astounding dense purple color, the wine has velvety, sweet tannins, and an extremely open-knit and opulent blueberry, blackberry and creme de cassis nose. There is scorched earth, vanilla and, again, telltale licorice and spice. It is unctuously textured - thicker and juicier than the 2010 and more forward.
Tenuta Dell ’Ornellaia Masseto 2014
A monumental Super Tuscan, the 2014 is a gorgeous, dense Masseto endowed with massive fruit and tons of structure made from 100% Merlot grapes. A dark, extracted red, offering plenty of juicy plum, blackberry and violet notes framed by vanilla and toast. This wine is known for its aromatic complexity, and tannic structure. Bolgheri Sassicaia 2010
Most iconic wine from Italy. Beautiful Super toscan made from 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. In the glass deep ruby red color, with aromas of black cherries, ripe dark plums and blackberries with hints of chocolate, tobacco, spices, flowers and cedar. On the palate dry, beautifully balanced with medium intense acidity and medium tannins, with a great persistent finish.
Cos D'Estournel 2005
The nose is rich deep with lots of concentrated fruit. Flavour wise the palate contains layers of ripe cassis and ground coffee beans. Finishing with a power depth of flavour yet elegance.
